PRESECURE is lead by Managing Director Klaus-Peter Kossakowski, a very experienced and renowned security expert. He has been researching malware and computer worms since 1988. From 1993 onwards he co-founded the DFN-CERT as the first German CERT. In 2000, he founded the PRESECURE. He knows exactly what tasks a well-trained security team has to perform, what a good team can do - and what difficulties have to be overcome.
Hhe has collected this knowledge in many lectures and documents, and worked with other international security experts to extend the common knowledge. The results are for example the "CERT Handbook" or the "Global Security Incident Response White Paper" for the US State Department in which for the first time, behavioral measures for dealing with security incidents in computer networks were developed and propagated. Today, together with Don Stikvoort, he is designing and maintaining key elements of the international CERT community, including the processes for the international CERT directory, Trusted Introducer, as well as the SIM3 Maturity Model.
